    A Couple's Tale

    story by Jon and Lucy
    Idlewild catamaran spacious galley

"Jon and Lucy chose the Antares because it was the best boat available for their needs, and they looked at a lot of catamarans. They felt the Antares was the best equipped and well-laid out for its 44’. They felt strongly she was the perfect size for the 2 of them. Any bigger and they felt and it would be too much boat for a couple. Any smaller and they felt you start to lose space and comfort. And we all know comfort is important if you're going to stay on a boat for months at a time! Small design flaws and stubbed toes can be dealt with for a week on vacation, but it is a non-starter for those looking to live aboard. Additionally, Jon and Lucy felt the quality of the Antares build was exceptional and didn’t compare to other catamarans. This was all proven when they sailed from Argentina and up to the US, followed by two seasons sailing around the Caribbean. In that time they met lots of cruisers and went on many of different boats, and at no time did they ever have boat envy, or ever think they should have bought something else. "
